Before your wax:

  • Please grow your hair long enough to be waxed. It usually requires at least 2-3 weeks to have about 1/2" of growth (about the length of a grain of rice) all over.

  • If you prefer to, you may take Ibuprofen (so long as it does not contradict any instruction from your physician) at least 20 minutes prior to your wax. Also, avoid caffeinated and/or alcoholic beverages before any waxing service, as it may cause added sensitivity.

  • Scheduling your appointment in the two weeks following your menstrual cycle will help make your waxing experience more comfortable. However, if you would like to come in during your cycle, please wear a tampon.

  • Try to exfoliate the skin 24 hours pre wax. Sloughing off your excess or dead skin cells will aid in the removal of your hair.

  • If you are currently using any skincare prescriptions, oral or topical, please let your esthetician know.

After your wax:

  • The benefit of waxing is that when your hair grows back, it will be thinner and finer. The average return time for your next visit is generally every 4-5 weeks.

  • For 24 hours post wax, it is always recommend to not doing any of the following (best as you can): sweating, working out, swimming, sex. Try to keep the follicles clean to prevent bumps, breakouts, and ingrowns.

  • Wait 48 hours before your next spray tan.

  • Exfoliation is your best friend when you are waxing. Exfoliation helps to prevent bumps, breakouts, and ingrowns. Using something similar in texture to exfoliating body gloves is recommended.
